Passages Project

The Passages project is now complete.

Passages was a performance project created to provide a vehicle for my research-through-practice into aspects of theatre lighting processes, as well as being an exploration of the life and work of the German-Jewish writer and critic Walter Benjamin.

The project’s web domain, www.passages-project.org.uk, now hosts ‘The Operator Connects’, an online mixed media essay that describes aspects of the research and includes video recordings of the performance.

Other publications relating to the Passages project are:

  • Hunt, Nick. 2011. Lighting on the Hyperbolic Plane. International Journal of Performance Arts and Digital Media 7, no. 1: 205-220.

An archive of the project’s website, originally at www.passages-project.org.uk, can be found here, and images of the production are here.

More archival material may be posted on these pages in the future, or you can contact me for more information.
