Virtual Grand Master

The Grand Master was an early electric stage lighting control system, using resistance dimmers and mechanical operation via levers, wheels, shafts and gears.
As a part of my research, I have created a βvirtualβ Grand Master - a software emulation that reproduces how the original control system worked. You can download Virtual GM to learn more about how lighting was controlled in many theatres in the UK between the 1930s and the 1950s:
- The Read Me file, and the Manual.
- The Virtual Grand Master software for Macintosh OS X (universal binary).
- The Virtual Grand Master software for Windows. Please note this is a simple zip file, not a Windows installer. You can unzip the file and open the resulting folder. Then double-click the .exe file you will find inside the folder to launch Virtual GM.
