| Notes | In 1958 the contents of The Empress Hall were auctioned. According to the auction catalogue, the Light Console (with its bench seat) and the bank of electromagnetic dimmers (geared drive motor of 9 r.p.m.) were sold under lots 293 and 294. One copy of the catalogue includes a note by someone who most likely attended the event saying these lots fetched £3000. Thanks to Roger Fox for this information. |
